We are delighted to add Anthony to our roster of trainers.
Anthony runs his boutique operation in the beautiful rolling West Dorset countryside.
He is one of the most respected trainers in Britain with 18 Graded/Listed winners to date and many more sure to follow.
Anthony began his involvement with horses back at his family home on the Quantocks. His father John Honeyball, as well as being a Master of the Taunton Vale Hunt and successful trainer, was involved in the early part of the career of that great racehorse, The Dikler, training him to win his first point to point.
His mother Sue was a talented show jumper. Between them both they produced many horses to a high standard, and it was this ability as a stockman and knowledge of horsemanship which was passed on to Anthony.
Anthony both worked and rode as an amateur for Richard Barber and progressed as a conditional jockey for Paul Nicholls riding 45 winners under rules, before he began his training career in 2006.
Anthony began training horses from his parents’ Quantock farm in Somerset. He then rented a yard from Richard Barber, and in 2012 moved just a few miles up the road to Potwell Farm where he has now allowed his training operation to expand and progress, whilst still having the advantage of the famous Seaborough gallop.
He has expanded his yard and currently has 80 horses in training.
Kevin Philippart De Foy has a wealth of racing experience, dating back as early as he can remember.
Kevin’s mother, a jockey and trainer herself in France, immersed Kevin in to the world of racing from a young age, setting him on the path to a fantastic globe-trotting career with renowned trainers John Oxx in Ireland, the legendary Criquette Head in France, Christophe Clement in America and most recently James Fanshawe in Newmarket.
Starting out as a rider, Kevin moved from Belgium to Ireland in October 2009 to work for John Oxx. During his time with John, he was involved in the later stages of SEA THE STARS' great career. Kevin stayed with John for the winter of 2009/10 before heading back across the waters to France to work for the Chantilly based Criquette Head.
Kevin had previous experience working for Criquette, spending school holidays at the yard riding out, but in February 2010 he took on the roles of Pupil Assistant and 2nd Head Lad.
During the 5 seasons Kevin spent there, he rode and assisted in the training of multiple Group 1 Winning horses EPICURIS, FULL MAST, SPECIAL DUTY and most significantly, the legendary TREVE.
Taking his career a step further, in 2014 Kevin moved to the USA to work for French-born trainer Christophe Clement as Assistant Trainer, notably training Classic Winners TONALIST and HARD NOT TO LIKE to multiple Group 1 victories, including The Belmont Stakes, Cigar Mile and Jockey Club Gold Cup.
Kevin’s role as assistant trainer saw him taking charge of Christophe’s 2nd operation and was involved in the movement of a yard full of horses between NY, Kentucky and Florida, season dependant. In 2015, the yard saw home more than 100 winners and in excess of 11million dollars in prize money!
Having visited Newmarket previously, Kevin knew this was where he wanted to base his future, so in January 2016 he crossed the waters for the final time and became Assistant Trainer to James Fanshawe, a long established and well-respected member of the British racing scene.
Based at Pegasus Stables for 5 seasons, Kevin worked with James to produce multiple Group 1 winning horses including SPEEDY BOARDING and THE TIN MAN, plus a full roster of listed race winners.
His career development with James lead to him taking out his own training license and building his own yard based at the historic Induna Stables in Newmarket.
We are delighted to add Jack to our team of trainers.
Jack had a great first season notching just under 50 winners and has had a second season to boot!
These included Caernarfon’s two Classic placings and Johan's thrilling success at Glorious Goodwood.
There were some promising two year olds that entered the winning enclosure last season and Jack feels they will improve further as three year olds.
Jack has some exciting two year olds for the new season, including our very promising Kodiac x Poesy Colt, named Cresofdistinction who recently finished a fine third at Doncaster on his debut.
Having visited Culverhill Farm and seeing the set up at the yard we knew we had to have a horse with Jane!
It really is an idyllic yard set in the rolling hills of North Devon on the edge of Exmoor.
Grade One winning trainer Jane, ably assisted by her son, Chester, who has now retired from race-riding, has an enviable record with her French-bred geldings.
We will use that knowledge to exploit the French market and as well as racing in the UK we will also target races in France with their lucrative prize money.
